Sharmaine-Cherie is trained in Vinyasa, Yin, Hatha, Chair Yoga, and Mindfulness Based Stillness Meditation. As well as currently studying Qigong and Yin Myofascial release (MFR) and Acupressure Trigger Point, and Level 2 in Sound Healing Experiences.
The Yoga journey began in the late 1980’s and these paths have now become a way of life and she continues to learn & practice all aspects of yoga including pranayama, asana, philosophy, kirtan & meditation which guide her teaching.
The practice of yoga has taught Sharmaine how to approach life with open eyes and a greater awareness of connection to our bodies and minds–a discovery she hopes to pass onto her students. Sharmaine guides students step by step through creative sequences by teaching not only safe shapes in Yoga but also how to pay attention to what is going on in the body and mind in each moment. Sharmaine teaches her students how to bring greater awareness to everything they do, on and off the mat.
